My great grandfather as James Kelly and his wife was Kathryn Spillane. Katherine was born in Ireland. They lived in New York and my grandmother, Mary Ellen Kelly was born in 1885. She had two brothers: John James who lived in San Francisco and Daniel who was in the military and died young. She had at least one sister, Kitty who worked in New York City as a maid to the ballet dancer, Ruth St. Dennis.
