The Great Irish Clan Gathering (operated by the Irish Clans Network), is an extraordinary effort to join, connect and engage people throughout the world who have an Irish surname themselves OR have an Irish surname within their family tree.

The Great Irish Clan Gathering has absolutely no barriers to entry and provides a wealth of authoritative historical content on each Irish clan group via associate member websites (or relevant external sources).

Anyone should be able to join the clan group of their heritage and anyone can create a clan group of their own, it is how it has always been throughout history and so it shall remain into the future. A clan group belongs to the people and to the descendants of that name.

At the heart of this initiative is the ideal that it is birth-right of anyone with Irish roots to become a member of their Irish clan group enabling the connection between who we are today with where we came from.
